Data Ownership¶
Humanoid Network is built on the principle that contributors should maintain meaningful rights over the data they create.
Contributor Rights¶
When you submit data to Humanoid Network:
- You retain attribution rights: Your contributions are tracked and credited to your account
- You grant a data license: Humanoid Network can process, store, and distribute the data to SDK consumers
- You can request deletion: Remove your data from the network (processing takes up to 30 days)
- You earn ongoing value: If your data is used in high-value datasets, you may earn additional rewards through bounty mechanisms
Data License¶
The Humanoid Network Data License grants the platform non-exclusive rights to: - Process and transform recordings (feature extraction, QA scoring) - Include processed data in datasets accessible via the HAN SDK - Sub-license to robotics companies and researchers through the SDK
The license does not grant rights to: - Identify contributors biometrically - Sell raw, unprocessed recordings - Use data for purposes unrelated to Physical AI training
Privacy Protections¶
- Optional face blurring: Contributors can enable automatic face detection and blurring
- No biometric storage: The platform does not store biometric identifiers
- Minimal metadata: Only task-relevant metadata is retained
- GDPR compliance: Right to access, rectify, and delete personal data
- On-chain pseudonymity: Contributions are linked to wallet addresses, not personal identities
For Data Consumers¶
Robotics companies accessing data through the HAN SDK agree to: - Use data exclusively for Physical AI training and research - Not attempt to re-identify contributors - Comply with applicable data protection regulations - Report any data security incidents to Humanoid Network
